Touchpad Display
When a touchpad screen has gone completely blank you should begin with ensuring the spa has an adequate power supply. We firstly recommend checking both your isolation switch and RCD are both turned on. If your spa is plugged into an outdoor water socket, you can even try plugging in a different appliance in (eg. kettle) to see if the powerpoint works.
Once power has been confirmed, you should check the controller’s heartbeat light. All SpaNET controllers have a red flashing heartbeat LED on the brain PCB to indicate the status of the controller. When the controller is functioning correctly with no errors to report, the heartbeat LED emits a single flash in a constant pulse much like a heartbeat (ON, OFF, ON, OFF). When in an error state the LED will begin flashing in sequence with the error code number being experienced (ie. ER-2 = ON,ON; OFF ON,ON; OFF). ER-6 often leades to no touchpad display. Regardless of touchpad display all SpaNET SV & SV Mini controllers will not respond when an error code is present. Refer to Understanding Error codes
If both power & the heartbeat LED indicate there is no error present, the touchpad display could be faulty. If the touchpad display is faulty, we would expect the circulation pump continues to run for all filtering and heating purpose despite the blank screen. We recommend liaising with a local spa technician to assit with the repair or replacement.
When an SV or SV Mini touchpad screen still displays the temperature yet the buttons don’t seem to be engaging the correct pumps or you SmartTOUCH colour screen touchpad is missing pump buttons we recommend checking the TYPE value is set to match the spa controller model.
If your SmartTOUCH colour screen touchpad is still displaying all images but isn’t responding to your press, you must calibrate it.
